Login Required

I required users to login before they can edit stuff. Any comments? --Shadowcode 15:42, 9 Oct 2005 (PDT)

Good idea

This makes sure that you always know who's editing stuff, it could be a real mess if everyone could edit the pages without you knowing who it was

Max-link level

Shall we keep this to four? Like..

  • Something
    • Part of something
    • Other Part of something
      • 3rd level
      • 3rd level
  • Something else
    • Other stuff
      • 3d level
    • More other stuff
      • 3rd level
      • 3rd level
        • 4th level
        • 4th level
          • but not 5th!

Our host..

Our host requires us to have a banner.. now, I could either hack the layout and add one on the top of each page, or put it in a frame. Any suggestions? --Shadowcode 17:30, 9 Oct 2005 (PDT)

Hack?

lol just put it at the bottom I think that would be best - s0meguy

Can't..

I can't. GSI requires it to be on-top.

Noooo!

Whatever you do dont add frames, if you want I can help hack the style (I have MediaWIKI ;D). --User:Ricky26

Think about it..

Think about it.. frames.. *wink wink nudge nudge* Gamespy probably wouldn't allow it, though.

Tech Support

http://forums.filefront.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=220004

I basically have the same problem. How can we enable the rest of the options?

Sorry

Sorry, but we don't offer tech support, in theory. Unless someone wants to. This is strictly a modding related WIKI. If you want tech support, I suggest that you check out the Lionhead forums and/or the Planet Black & White forums! --Shadowcode 05:45, 12 Oct 2005 (PDT)

Loading times

Hey, how's the loading time for everyone? I noticed that when you first visit the site, it loads pretty d*mn slow. But once you're on, navigating is pretty fast. I'm going to try and see if I can get Gamespy to enable caching. Other than that, I also noticed that the loading process is a bit faster on Firefox somehow. Oddness! --Shadowcode 05:12, 17 Oct 2005 (PDT)
Meh, It's allways been nice for me. --HL2-SMG 07:09, 18 Oct 2005 (EST)
Hmm... Maybe it's something to do with the fact that a Wiki is basically a database of linked pages? This would mean that when you first go to the Wiki, you're loading the main page and all of the other pages as well? Just a theory ^^ --Thedragon5000 07:12, 21 Oct 2005 (PDT)
Well, I compare it to other WIKI's and this one seems to be a bit slower.. but just a little bit. Oh well.. --Shadowcode 08:26, 21 Oct 2005 (PDT)
It seems to be faster on the new hosting platform as well. \o/ --Shadowcode 06:08, 17 Nov 2005 (PST)
